Commercial Thermography Services

Thermal imaging is a valuable tool in preventive maintenance of electrical, mechanical and structural systems, able to help detect problems, prevent unscheduled downtime, guide needed corrective action and increase safety. High heating, ventilation, air conditioning costs, create a demand for an improved building substance, which in turn drives the application of infrared cameras for building inspections.

CMU Blockwall evaluation

CMU (Concrete Masonry Unit) walls are used extensively in the construction of many commercial, federal and local government style buildings. The strength and integrity of these CMU walls is a function of the design and the application and skill of the mason building the wall. To truly ensure the strength and resilience of the wall is as designed and will perform as expected over the planned life is to ensure construction compliance.

Currently there are several ways of ensuring construction integrity all of which are cost prohibitive. Using thermography to establish CMU Blockwall integrity is quick, easy and cheap (in comparison to other alternative methods). The reports generated from a thermal examination can ensure that the CMU construction is as designed by the architect or designer and that compliance is measured and integrity is assured. Alternatively you can rely on other inspection systems and always remain skeptical of compliance!

Electrical Scans

Infrared thermography is very commonly used to perform predictive maintenance inspections on electrical equipment because excess resistance on a electrical apparatus indicates electrical faults such as loose connections, overloaded or imbalanced circuits, faulty breakers, damaged switches, faulty fuses and a wide range of other unwanted electrical conditions. Before an electrical component burns up, it heats up. Thermography is used to see the excess heat (resistance) so that problems can be found and maintenance personnel can act to correct the problem before the component fails, causing damage to the component, safety hazards and/or production downtime.

Roof Leak Detection

Water leakage is the leading cause of roof damage. It ruins insulation, causes corrosion, weakens metal decks and other building structures, encourages mold growth, and can even lead to structural collapse. Thanks to infrared surveys, there’s now a fast, effective way to spot water accumulation and damage on any roof-even when that damage is out of sight. Our infrared cameras instantly show you what’s wet and what’s dry. You can immediately locate the ultimate source without disassembling the premises or disrupting the inhabitants.
